Problem Note 52125: Grid-launched workspace servers might run under the wrong credentials in SAS® 9.4
Under certain circumstances in SAS 9.4, a grid–launched workspace server might be started with another user's credentials. This situation is most likely to occur when most or all users have user names that are not unique until the fourth or later character of the name.
When this situation occurs, you can encounter the following problems:
- Users cannot access files that they normally can access.
- Users have access to files that they should NOT be able to access.
In addition, if many users are running under the same ID in UNIX operating environments, the single user's resource limits (processes, handles, memory, and so on) might cause resource exhaustion issues with any of the jobs.
There is no workaround or solution for these problems.
